Installation of a stationary all-glass partition
Algorithm of actions of a specialist when installing a glass partition:
Marking lines are created for the glass partition to be installed on floor, ceiling and wall surfaces. So, that the top and bottom lines do not fall into different planes, they are checked with a vertical tool.
The profile is installed. The tires are twisted in accordance with the marking lines by means of dowel elements. Rubber pads are preliminarily placed under them. They serve as soundproofing.
The first part of the connector (elbows) is screwed onto the bus bars by means of dowel nails. For each meter of the bulkhead width, a pair of similar squares is mounted. Otherwise, after installation, the glass partition will have little stability.
By means of a screw element, the clamping part of the connector is screwed to the square.
The glass is mounted first in the connectors located at the bottom, and then in those at the top and side. The height of the glass partition is adjustable by means of adjustable supports or pads.
When the installation of the all-glass partition is completed, decorative elements are installed. They are fixed by means of squares on one side and clamping elements on the other. A cover is screwed onto the profile end, if required.
Installation of partitions made of glass of multi section sliding type
The installation of such glass partitions starts with fixing the suspension to the wall surface by means of dowel elements and brackets. If it is not possible to make such a fastening, the profiles are fixed on the sides by means of bushings.
Further, rubber sash movement limiters are screwed into the profile. They are similar in appearance to small washers. Due to this, the sash of the glass partition, which has reached the end position, will be braked by the limiting element.
After that, the carriages are installed in a specially designed hole in the profile. The glass is fixed to the carriages by means of point fasteners. Guides (small “crabs” with an internal groove through which the glass sheet is passed during movement, or a profile) are screwed onto the floor surface.
Next, guides are mounted at the edge of each canvas. As a result, when sliding the glass door, the opposite edge will enter the inside of the guide.
In some cases, instead of a “hidden” profile, in which all the components are inside, tracks are mounted. Glass doors stops are installed on them, which are metal clubs with a rubber tip. Rollers are mounted instead of carriages.
