Concealed hinges

Concealed hinges

In the case of concealed hinges, a cup-shaped recess is drilled in the furniture body, into which the metal cup of the hinge is embedded in order to better absorb the load of the door leaf. Concealed hinges are available in two standard sizes: wardrobes or kitchen cabinets.

In contrast to the screw-on hinge, the concealed hinge offers more adjustment options. The door support can be adjusted by turning the adjusting screw.

Safety hinges

Reinforced door leaves, a stable door lock and hinge side guards help protect house doors against burglars. There are special hinge side locks that protect the hinge side of the entrance door from being pried open. The hinge side protection can be used for house entrance doors and apartment entrance doors as well as for windows and balcony doors. With a pressure resistance of over 1 ton, this door lock is an ideal addition to additional door locks.

Pendulum hinges

They ensure that doors can be opened at a flexible angle in both directions up to 360 °. Pendulum hinges are often used as swing doors in the catering industry as double-leaf kitchen doors with a window cutout, as shower doors to ensure easy entry and exit and more freedom of movement, especially in small bathrooms, or as a single-leaf swing door in changing rooms or exhibition rooms.

Lift and lower hinges

Lift and lower hinges are often used on a house and apartment doors as well as on shower cubicle doors. Their functional principle is always the same: if you open the door, it rises. If you close the raise / lower door, it lowers again. This mechanism basically makes it easier to open the door and has further advantages in special applications. For example, lift-and-lower hinges ensure a flush finish on house and apartment doors, which is advantageous for both heat and sound insulation reasons. In the case of shower doors, however, lowering the shower door seal ensures that shower water can’t escape from the shower cubicle.
