Due to the lack of a pivoting range, folding doors are particularly ideal for small rooms because they do not lose any floor space. Another advantage: modern folding door kits are easy to install yourself. We show you step by step how easy it is to assemble.
Advantages of a folding door
Folding doors consist of several parts that fold together when opened. In contrast to a “normal” room door, they do not swing out because they are movable attached to a rail or bracket. Folding doors are therefore particularly suitable for small, narrow living spaces, for dividing up rooms or for delimiting individual areas. The use of folding doors also makes sense in rooms in which a swing-out door would be a disadvantage due to the furnishings and placement options for furniture. The low price and the low installation effort also speak in favor of a folding door.
Different designs of folding doors
In terms of design, the wide range includes the right door for every taste. In addition to black and white, numerous colors and different wood imitations, folding doors are also available with and without glass inserts. Folding doors with picture motifs are in vogue. These have a neutral, white side and a printed side, for example with a city or forest motif. Thanks to the various designs, the folding door blends harmoniously into the existing room concept or sets a special accent.
