A showcase is a “visiting card” of any retail facility, salon, restaurant, or cafe. This is an effective advertising tool that not only demonstrates the product, presenting it in the best light, but also emphasizes the status of the institution, and also attracts visitors.
Showcase glazing of store facades involves the installation of large-sized translucent structures that provide a good overview of the goods and the premises themselves. The use of modern materials and technologies, as well as the ability to produce structures of any shape with their help, makes the building more spacious and “hospitable” both outside and inside. Display glazing of facades is mounted by fixing double-glazed windows or large safety glasses on an aluminum profile frame.
Features of showcase glazing facades
Shop window glazing is carried out using the following types of glass:
hardened – in case of damage, the canvas breaks into fragments with rounded edges, which eliminates injury;
Triplex – laminated, laminated glass, which, when damaged, is covered with cracks, does not shatter into fragments, but remains in place;
Glass sheets with anti-vandal film – durable structures with protection against mechanical shocks and penetrations.
Unlike large windows, the installation of showcase glass requires the presence of drainage holes for proper ventilation – condensation does not accumulate on the glass, showcases do not fog up, and mold and fungus do not develop on them.
According to the type of mounted structures, showcases can be all-glass (frameless) or on a metal frame. In the first case, the installation is carried out with the help of point fasteners sealing the seams between the panels with a transparent sealing compound. When installing a framed showcase, individual glass modules are mounted on an aluminum supporting frame. Thanks to the frame, the glass connection receives the required rigidity, due to the flexibility of the metal, structures of various shapes are created.
