REPLACEMENT of broken window glass
When we are embarking on window replacement, we must ask ourselves the right questions …
1. What installation should I choose to replace my windows?
2. What materials to choose for the window replacement?
3. Which glazing should I choose for my windows?
TYPES OF WINDOW INSTALLATION
The 2 most common types of installation will be tunnel installation and renovation installation. You can opt for a tunnel installation or the old frame will be completely removed to make room for the new one.
However, if the old frame is in place, it will be necessary to turn to a refurbishment installation. The intervention will consist in removing the old doors to put the new frame on the existing frame. The advantage of installation in renovation is that the intervention requires less time and therefore will generally cost you less than installation in a tunnel.
THE MATERIALS OF YOUR WINDOW
For materials, you will have the choice between a PVC, wood or aluminum window.
Installing a PVC window with double glazing is the best solution in terms of quality / price. This will allow you to have good thermal and sound insulation without making a colossal investment.
The wooden window is the solution that will bring a warmer and more convivial aspect to your home. In addition, wood is an ecological and completely renewable material.
The aluminum window will give a more modern look at your home. It will be chosen for its increased resistance compared to wood and PVC. It is to be preferred for a large sliding bay or a large window because it will be able to withstand longer over time.
