The ideal location for a folding door are tight spaces, when a normal door does not have enough space to open. On the other hand, folding doors are suitable for all widths: both as a small passage door, but also as a room divider or patio door. For example, we can use a large folding glass door to create wide access to the outside, which can remain open during the day in summer.
The only disadvantage of a folding door: Compared to conventional doors, it can only be opened relatively slowly. They are therefore not permitted as escape doors.
Installation instructions: In nine steps to the fully installed folding door
We offer folding doors also as prefabricated kits. With just a few tools, do-it-yourself can easily install their folding door themselves, either in a door frame or simply in a wall opening. In most cases, you need a drill, screwdriver, fine-toothed saw and of course a folding rule.
The installation of a suitable folding works:
Step 1: Measure the door opening
Step 2: Saw the slide rail and stops to size
Step 3: attach the glider
Step 4: push the slats together
Step 5: Install and fix the stopper
Step 6: Attach clips for slide rail and stops
Step 7: attach the lock and locking pin
Step 8: Slide the slider into the slide rail
Step 9: attach the folding door
